American lady who moved to Berlin years ago and has 2 coffee shops there - they are fantastic - mixing german culture for long all day breakfasts with fabulous Amercian baking.

I kind of like the idea of 'Americanizing' the cafe just a touch.
Do you know Tom's Cafe in Notting Hill? They've sort of taken the best of American products and either put them for sale or used them as cool 'vintage' decoration. Like Goldfish -- do you know those?
I also like the idea of serving American style pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast on the weekends.
